Sabine Bruyns
Art and the act of creativity as a therapeutic tool
A gentle and creative way to support expression, confidence and emotional wellbeing.
Making art can offer a different way of expressing thoughts and feelings, particularly when words feel difficult or are simply not enough. No artistic experience is needed, and there is no right or wrong way to create.
Sabine provides a safe, welcoming space where children, young people and adults can explore a wide range of materials at their own pace. The creative process can encourage self-expression and confidence, while offering the opportunity to slow down, become absorbed in making and experience the uplifting effect that creativity can bring.
Art as Therapeutic Support

These sessions can be helpful in their own right or alongside other therapeutic support, including talking therapy. Sabine has extensive experience working with anxiety, low mood, autism, ADHD, selective mutism and communication difficulties. Each session is shaped around the individuals needs, interests and abilities.
Both the experience of creating and the artwork itself can hold personal meaning. What matters most is allowing each person the freedom to explore, become curious and find their own creative language.
Art Tuition
As a practising artist and experienced art teacher, Sabine offer individual art tuition for children, young people
and adults of all abilities.
Sessions are tailored to each person and may focus on learning new techniques, experimenting with
materials, developing creative confidence or rediscovering the simple enjoyment of making art. She also
provide specialist guidance for Art scholarship, GCSE, AS and A Level Art, supporting students as they develop ideas,
create portfolios and work towards personal final outcomes.
Creative Workshops and Events
Sabine's creative workshops and events offer time to slow down, step away from everyday pressures and enjoy making
something by hand.
They are an opportunity to explore new techniques, reconnect with creativity and share the experience
of creating alongside others. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, with the emphasis on curiosity,
enjoyment and discovery rather than producing a perfect result.
